Lakeside 1963. Kernachan 1964, CIT 1965 - Lakeside, Rondak, Aquehonga (Ken Margolies)

My older brother attended TMR before me. My first year was at Lakeside, we lived in open air cabins, washed dishes, shared latrines, water jousted using canoes, learned to shoot safely, earned merit badges and had fun. The next year I was in JLTC which was rigorous. At Kernachan we slept in tents. I was induced into OA. As a CIT we had various assignments -- my favorite was the waterfront at Lakeside where taught rowing for the merit badge. I supervised the skeet range, made new horse trails, and when on a memorable trip to the Wayne County Fair where we saw a very educational demonstration by Stella.
